Types of Green Energy

There are only some green energy types which include solar energy, wind energy, geothermal energy, nuclear energy and hydroelectric energy. Let us differentiate them to understand their distinction.

1. Solar - It is a form of green energy that has been harnessed by humans since ancient times. This kind of energy uses the radiant light and heat from the sun. Most of the cities in the Philippines are reliant on this type of green energy source.

2. Wind - This kind of energy form is a conversion of wind energy into a useful form of energy. Cities in the Philippines like Iloilo generate the majority of their electricity needs through alternative sources such as wind power.

3. Geothermal - Geothermal, from its root words geo which means earth and thermos which means heat is thermal energy stored in the earth. This is an interesting alternative energy source.

4. Nuclear - This is produced by controlled non expensive nuclear reactions. Through nuclear fusion another source of energy can be produced.

5. Hydro - Hydro energy or what others call hydroelectricity is the term referring to electricity generated by hydropower. This is another rampant green energy source.

The ultimate goal of green energy production is to free us from expensive electricity generation. It’s making energy generation 100% oil independent.

Another source of green energy is waste to green energy. Using the breakthrough biosphere technology, wastes can be converted into a different kind of alternative energy source.
